    1. The Access DTA 1080 is totally unacceptable. Sorry I can't identify mine as a D or U version as none of the labels the manufacturer put on the box identify the version. The remote does not control volume when connected for RF (channel 3 or 4), only the RCA jacks are controlled. There is LOUD buzzing audio leakage into the audio whenever there is white lettering appearing on the screen. The display for channel and menu has tiny lettering, hard to see across the room. I also have two versions of the Zenith converter which actually work as they are supposed to on exactly the same setup. Stay away from Access products.

    3. I have had multiple 1080D Converter boxes. I have tried to call their supposed number 919-585-6435 for weeks, each time another fails. All I get is the recording, "not available at this time, please try your call later."
If the boxes fail within the 1 year warranty period, you send them in for an exchange and they send them back saying nothing is wrong. SO you buy another one.. If they fortunately last over the one year warranty period, you buy another anyway.

I find the lack of their availability to be completely unacceptable.

Was this a government decision to require HD, if so is the government watching to see how the providers are not responding?

    10. Mine works great I get 16 channels, do you have a Balan between your converter and your antenna? Pluging a digital converter directly into rabbit ears will not work, the signal needs to be balanced!

    11. I got 16+ channels for a few months then it stopped working. I had two converters and neither one works. I should be able to get new ones or money back- big rip-off!
