Either I've missed something or it doesnt work. We turned it off to watch a DVD the other day and now we cannot get it to turn back on - manually or remotely. Has anyone else had this problem?

For the person who recorded "snow" - in one of the setup menus, there is an always on feature that you need to select. Since I cannot turn on my box, I cannot tell you exactly where it is.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127332643110937777.post-79516425217873526942010-03-12T12:55:14.813-07:002010-03-12T12:55:14.813-07:00I have been using an Insignia box since right afte...I have been using an Insignia box since right after the switch to digital. After much frustration and some outside help, I finallyhave it so that it works fairly well, although I often have to adjust the antenna when I change stations. It's frustrating that I can't watch one TV show and record another at the same time, the way I used to do. But the worst thing is the way the box turns itself off. If I go out for the evening and leave the box turned on so it will record a program, I come home and find that the box has turned itself off and I've recorded a whole program of "snow." I checked at Best Buy (where I bought the box) and they were no help.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127332643110937777.post-65550188829999816002009-06-21T18:18:27.813-06:002009-06-21T18:18:27.813-06:00I, after much time and work, got the Insignia NS-D...I, after much time and work, got the Insignia NS-DXA1 to work and was able to record a TV program to my DVD recorder. However, if I am not around to activate the Insignia it will not "turn on" to allow a scheduled recording. Is there a work around or solution to have the converter box "turn on" when a program is scheduled for recording and I'm not there?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127332643110937777.post-38228051749863309522009-06-16T17:54:18.241-06:002009-06-16T17:54:18.241-06:00I have been using an Insignia digital converter fo...I have been using an Insignia digital converter for about 90 days with everything working fine. They were coming in fine for awhile, and then Kapoot. I can't bring them back through auto or manual means. Also, the sound quality is very poor. I can't get the sound to project past 5 feet of the TV. Any way of turning it up? I am using the remote.

It is an Insignia NS-DXA1 box.

Thanks, edUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12304163561052520514noreply@blogger.com
